Welcome to the website of the Permanent Mission of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the United Nations Office at Geneva and Other International Organizations in Switzerland.

The Permanent Mission has dual functions of representing Ethiopia before international organizations in Geneva and Vienna, and serving as the Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Switzerland, and also accredited to the Republic of Austria, Republic of Bulgaria, Republic of Hungary and Romania.

In both its multilateral and bilateral functions, the Permanent Mission primarily is focused on contributing to and mobilizing support for the success of the Growth and Transformation Plan(GTP): a five-year strategic framework for development adopted by the Government of Ethiopia to sustain the rapid economic growth the country has been registering for the last seven years and to enable Ethiopia meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

This website will be revamped to provide more detailed and current information on the multilateral work of the Permanent Mission.

Our offices are open to the public every day from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. and from 2.30 p.m. till 5.30 p.m.
